The Theatre Bizarre (2011) [Review]

Drawn to the theater across the street from her apartment, Enola Penny (Virginia Newcomb) wonders through its doors and takes a seat in front of the stage. She is soon greeted by the human puppet Peg Poett (Udo Kier) and the show begins. Each of the 6 tales told by Peg begins with a short dialogue from him and a brief animation from one of the other puppets on the stage.

“The Theatre Bizarre” consists of tales that revolve around obsession, murder, torture, the macabre, and even sweets. I must admit I did end up saying, “what the hell was that?” after one or two of the stories. Whether that is a bad thing or not is questionable. Let me know what you thought in the comments below.
